Founded in 1999, the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that promotes sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification. The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests.

Though the PEFC is the largest forest certification system in the world, its focus is on small, non-industrial private forests (i.e., “family forests”). Ask your sales representative for more information, or visit http://www.pefc.org/.
